Company Drinks is about going picking and making drinks, as much as it is about asking questions about what local food production means..... We are hosting a communal lunch to enjoy local food and to unpack some of the politics behind its production: This month we're *THRILLED* to be joined by friend of the project Dr Rachel Edwards Stuart. Rachel is a food scientist who works across the food industry, science and education. She will be revealing the thinking behind our Molecular Fizz Lab programme, and talking to us about how the flavours we know best end up making it onto our menu day in day out...

We’ll be talking about the science behind the foods we eat daily, and hearing about how flavour is tackled on an industrial scale.
Please come along to learn more about how this year we’ll be continuing to work with Rachel in delivering our Molecular Fizz Flabour Labs.
The lunch will be a really informal, communal event, and we hope to spark some lively conversations that will culminate in Company Drinks producing some food policies of our own by the end of 2018…

The Digesting Politics Monthly Lunches are delivered by Company Drinks with support from Barking & Dagenham Renew. The lunches are also part of a UK wide series of community food events called ‘Digesting Politics’, co-organised with the artist run group Keep It Complex.
