Join Company Drinks in the Valence House Orchard and get to know the apple trees. Learn how to carefully harvest apples in a sustainable way. Then process the apples by hand into the freshest juice you have ever had! This is a hands-on afternoon using a press and scratter to create the juice. Free. Drop-in. Suitable for all ages.
Join us for a day of apples, come and learn about the apple orchard in the Valance house gardens, speak to the ranger about the care of apple orchards. We will then harvest some of the apples in a way that doesn’t harm the tree.
All that picking will be thirsty work though, so we will then scrat (grate) and press the apples into juice, and you have a go too.
This is a drop-in session, we will be in the orchard from 11-3 pm
