Join Company Drinks at Valence House Museum for a friendly afternoon of Apple & Pear Pressing on Saturday 15th August, 12–3pm. Celebrate the season’s harvest and fruit processing traditions and learn about the heritage and biodiversity of Valence House’s historic orchard before getting hands-on with the traditional process of pressing apples and pears into fresh juice. The fruit will be pre-gathered from the orchard, and visitors can also discover local community orchards across the borough through a shared orchard map.
- Join us for a day of apples, come and learn about the apple orchard in the Valence house gardens, and speak to the ranger about the care of apple orchards. All apples will be harvested prior to the event, but a perfect moment to come and have a go at pressing them into juice with our apple scratter and press
This is a drop-in session, we will be in the orchard from 11-3 pm
There is a cafe onsite that sell drinks and snacks
