Here we come a wassailing among the leaves so green It's almost that time of year again, for the annual Eastbrookend Orchard Wassail Wassailing is a historic tradition to bring a good harvest of apples later in the year, we will be learning about and celebrating our own local community orchards, waking up the trees for spring, crafting and enjoying warm spiced apple juice, fresh from the fire. So bring your pots, pans, instruments and singing voices and help us wake up the apple trees joining the LBBD Park Rangers and our kilted drink server

There will be a schedule of events taking place throughout the day around the orchard including:

Craft activities for childrens and adults alike
Find out which is your nearest local Community Orchard in the borough (there are several!) and sign up to take part in future volunteer sessions to care for the fruit trees
Colourful Wassail characters
The Wassail Ceremony – involving tree decorating, music, song and general ‘noise-making’ to wake up the trees from their winter dormancy
Hot Wassail drinks provided by Company Drinks

You can also visit the Eastbrookend Tea Rooms to buy additional tasty hot & cold snacks and drinks.
