In the coming months we’re thrilled to be working with the council, food charity Sustain, and local residents on a research project to help develop a Good Food Plan for Barking & Dagenham. The aim of this research project is to understand the diversity of our local food cultures and existing knowledge, to map local initiatives that are already building more inclusive food systems, to look to ‘Good Food Champions’ and learn from people who are building healthier, more affordable, more sustainable local food systems elsewhere. We want to work with local residents to make decisions about the future of Barking & Dagenham’s food systems.
