Every week in Barking Park, we're growing all new ingredients, learning gardening skills and helping to improve the biodiversity of Barking Park. This week we will be making some of our famous herb salt rubs with the rosemary and sage that we have been growing in our first raised beds. We will also be gathering autumn leaves for our flower press in preparation for some craft sessions in the future!
We are now running a weekly Growing Club every Friday from 10am-12pm.
Our main activities at the moment are:
– tending raised beds with edible herbs
– harvesting and processing herbs
– preparing a compost system
– root digging
– preparing wild flower areas
We’re having special seasonal events and celebrations, and once a month we sit together for a shared lunch after the growing session.
