Every week in Barking Park, we're growing all new ingredients, learning gardening skills and helping to improve the biodiversity of Barking Park. This week we will continue the work with our meadow area. Come and learn about plant identification, the importance of biodiversity, and sheet mulching as a low effort and effective method of clearing the ground.
**Please arrive from 9:30am for a cup of tea ready for a 10am start.**
We are now running a weekly Growing Club every Friday from 9:30am-12noon.
Our main activities at the moment are:
– harvesting our herbs
– weeding and deadheading
– preparing for Autumn
– spending time connecting with our senses
We hold special seasonal events and celebrations, and once a month we sit together for a shared lunch after the growing session.
