Every week in Barking Park, we're growing all new ingredients, learning gardening skills and helping to improve the biodiversity of Barking Park. This week we're celebrating Samhain, a Gaelic festival marking the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter or the "darker half" of the year.... with the inauguration of our composting system! We'll get together for a cosy communal lunch afterwards to see in the colder season...
We are now running a weekly Growing Club every Friday from 10am-12pm.
Our main activities at the moment are:
– tending raised beds with edible herbs
– harvesting and processing herbs
– preparing a compost system
– root digging
– preparing wild flower areas
We’re having special seasonal events and celebrations, and once a month we sit together for a shared lunch after the growing session.

Friday 14th December from 1-2.30pm.
