It's winter solstice on December 21st, this means we're reaching the turning point in the year when days will start getting longer again. We're going to attempt to light up the shortest, darkest days of the year! Join us for a family-friendly winter warmer day at Barking Park on Friday 17th December. We're going to wrap up another year in good company with workshops for children and young people. However you choose to celebrate this time of year - all are welcome! *UPDATE* This event will continue as planned, but will now all take place outdoors - with social distance and masks required for using the indoor facilities.

We’re planning to go ahead with lighting up the shortest days of the year and we welcome everyone to join us for a Mid-Winter Warmer at Barking Park this Friday 17th December and a special Families Winter Warmer on Saturday 18th December.
The programme for both remains the same and timings are available online. However, in light of recent information about Covid-19, UK restrictions, and with the comfort and wellbeing of all our groups, collaborators and team in mind, we are switching both events to be outdoors only.
All facilities will still be available for public use. We’ll be restricting numbers inside and asking adults to socially distance / wear masks indoors, in line with government guidelines on public gatherings. We’ll have plenty of blankets, warm drinks and the fire for staying warm..
