We’re planning to go ahead with lighting up the shortest days of the year and we welcome everyone to join us for a Mid-Winter Warmer at Barking Park this Friday 17th December and a special Families Winter Warmer on Saturday 18th December.
The programme for both remains the same and timings are available online. However, in light of recent information about Covid-19, UK restrictions, and with the comfort and wellbeing of all our groups, collaborators and team in mind, we are switching both events to be outdoors only.
All facilities will still be available for public use. We’ll be restricting numbers inside and asking adults to socially distance / wear masks indoors, in line with government guidelines on public gatherings. We’ll have plenty of blankets, warm drinks and the fire for staying warm..
We’re going to wrap up another year in good company with workshops, healing herbs, festive crafts, winter wreath making, delicious food and drinks and maybe even a big, roaring bonfire. However you choose to celebrate this time of year – all are welcome!
11am – 1pm
Join us in the garden for some seasonal picking and wreath making.
Shaun will talk about how the garden changes in winter and what needs doing in order to welcome spring. We will alos have material and cuttings ready to make beautiful local winter wreaths, using and cherishing the plants that grow in our garden and the park.
Soup and Good Company.
Join us in the Club Room for an informal communal lunch and some delicious soup and drinks. Meet the Company Drinks team and others who are part of our regular community.
We’ll be celebrating the closing of the year outdoors and indoors.
Join us with your family and friends for lantern making, exploring the garden in the dark, making simple remedies indoors and a warm drink at the fire..
Our club room will be open throughout, offering tea and snacks and meet someone from the team to find out what Company Drinks is and does.
