Join earth materials artist, Toni Lotter, for a day of natural ink-making and poetry writing in celebration of 10 years of Company Drinks! This is a closed workshop - invitation/registration is essential
When: Sunday 17th November 2024, 10am – 3pm* (9.45am for a prompt 10am start)
*we might finish earlier if we make the ink in good time.
Where: The Company Drinks Big Kitchen @ The Pavillion, Barking Park, Longbridge Road, Barking, London, IG11 8TA
Who: Adults-only.
What to bring: Bag to take home x2 small bottles of ink. Pen and notebook if you want to make notes. A packed lunch (please, no nuts).
Permissions: We need to take photographs of the session. Please inform the workshop leader if you do not wish to be photographed.
INK
Using natural ingredients inspired by Company Drinks’ products, foraging forays, events and gatherings, we will make inks following traditional recipes. Here, we’ll find new expressions for materials that are otherwise discarded or composted.
POETRY
Not a poet? You are inside! While we wait for the inks to develop, we’ll gather words from magazines, AGM documents, and social media posts to create short poems about what Company Drinks means to us.
