Using all the rosehips we collected and froze last week, we are now going to process them into our delicious winter rose hips cordial, this tasty, tangy drink is full of vitamin C and great to drink warm or cold. Come and help make the cordial, we will be processing and boiling down the rose hips to release the goodness inside then straining through some cloth to get rid of the irritating hairs inside, we will then make a syrup mix, bottle and label the drink. All helpers will get to take a bottle of cordial home with them
This will be a hands-on event creating cordials using heat, which means it will NOT be suitable for young children
.
ALl equipment will be provided, tasks may include:
-Preparing kitchen area before cooking
-weighing out correct ingredients
-rinsing bottles ready to be filled
-filling bottles with cordial and placing them into the pasteuriser
-labelling the bottles when ready
