Thursday Workshop

This week the Thursday Workshop group is heading to the White House, a new public space for art and communal activity inspired by the history of housing in east London. We'll be having our usual cup of tea and a chat, along with a special screening of the Foreign Pickers film and a recent campaign video made for the launch of the White House.

Foreign Pickers “explores the shared ‘foreigness’ of today’s (now threatened) eastern European fruit pickers working in Kent and the east London communities who migrated to the same rural landscape for working holidays in the early twentieth century”.

This project was produced with the support of the Delfina Foundation and MUF Architecture.
