In place of this week's Thursday Workshop, we're going to the Bishopsgate Institute, which was established in 1895, and describes itself as a "home for ideas and debate, learning and enquiry and as a place where independent thought is cherished". We'll be given a guided tour of the venue, and will see some historic items, books and pamphlets about hopping. Meeting point: Dagenham Heathway at 12.45pm.
